I’ve been following Sharon Hensley’s case closely, and something that really stands out to me is the burning of her identification before she disappeared. It makes me wonder what was truly going through her mind at that time. Was she trying to start fresh or was there something more sinister going on that forced her to take this drastic step? The fact that she wanted to join a sailing couple is intriguing, almost like she was chasing an escape from her current life. It’s deeply unsettling to think about how alone and desperate she might have felt, potentially resorting to actions she believed would keep her safe. My heart goes out to her family who waited over a year before they even knew she was officially missing. It must have been awful to not have answers and to be left wondering about a loved one's fate. If anyone has any theories or knows more about the couple she intended to sail with, it might shed some light on what happened to her.
