Does anyone else find it chilling how fate played a role in Phyllis Crowe’s survival during that horrible night? I've been reading up on the case and I'm just struck by the randomness of it all. Phyllis was strangled to the brink of death but managed to pull through and later identify Tingler. It's incredible that she had the strength and presence of mind to help the investigation after going through such a traumatic event. My heart goes out to Jimmy and Susan's families, who weren't as fortunate. The echoes of that trauma must have been unimaginable for Phyllis and for everyone connected to those young lives cut so tragically short. I'd love to hear your thoughts on how survivors like Phyllis find the courage to relive their horrors for the sake of justice.
