Hi everyone, I've been reflecting on the role of "Big Mike" or Michael Devern Terry in these tragic events. It strikes me how often these cases involve someone who's known to the community, yet manages to hide in plain sight for so long. It's chilling to think about how he interacted with his victims and those around him without raising significant alarm until it was too late. What also gets to me is the vulnerability of those like Jason B. McColley and Alvin George—young men who maybe didn't have the safest options when trying to earn a living. It's important to talk about how society often leaves people at risk, while individuals like Terry exploit these vulnerabilities. I can't imagine what McColley's loved ones are going through, knowing what happened to him and the circumstances surrounding his death. I'm really hoping that conversations like this bring more awareness and a push for better protection and support for at-risk communities. Sending thoughts to all affected by these losses.
