I've been thinking a lot about the families of Jake Green and Mabel Manley. It must be incredibly difficult for them to not have closure after so many years. One thing that stands out is the complexity of cases like these, where there are potential links to a larger criminal network. It makes me wonder how frustrating it must be for families to hear about connections to known criminals like the McCrary family but still have no definitive answers or justice for their loved ones. The scope and reach of that crime family seem overwhelming, especially back in the 70s when communication between law enforcement agencies across states wasn't as advanced as today. I hope that with modern investigative techniques, maybe one day some new evidence will come to light. Meanwhile, my thoughts are with all those, including any extended family and friends, who continue to live with the unknown.

Thank You, it is incredibly difficult not having closure. Jake Green was my Great Uncle and even though I was only 3 when he was murdered it still haunts me to this day knowing he never received justice. The killing shook my dad terribly and he talked about his Uncle Jake even on his own death bed 40+ years later.

Has anyone else looked into the friendships Jake Green and Mabel Manley might have had in the Kansas City community before their disappearances? It seems like with such a tight-knit workplace at the tavern, there might have been coworkers or regular patrons who noticed something off or unusual in the days leading up to March 2, 1972. Given the era and the close community ties back then, maybe there were some tensions or odd interactions that weren't given much thought at the time but could be significant now. I feel for their friends and family who must have been left with so many questions and so few answers. It's hard to imagine the weight of not knowing for so many years if something more personal could have played a role or if it was purely the work of the McCrary crime family.

It’s incredibly difficult, time has not healed wounds or hearts. Justice was never served and questions have gone unanswered. No closure for our family.
