Does anyone else find it chilling that Swann claimed to be influenced by the ghost of Malcolm X? I can't even imagine the fear people in those neighborhoods must have felt, knowing a seemingly random force was out there deciding their fate. My heart goes out to Bessie Hutson and her family—being caught in such senseless violence is unimaginable. Living in an area with a shooter at large must’ve been terrifying, and it’s scary to think how mental health issues can sometimes lead to public danger. I'm relieved Swann was eventually caught without more loss of life, thanks to that officer's quick thinking. It's cases like these that remind us how crucial it is to have services for mental health support in place to potentially prevent tragedies before they happen. Any thoughts on how law enforcement could better tackle these issues in the future?
