I've been reading up on the tragic case of Gloria Jean Fravel, and something that's been stuck in my mind is how incredibly brave she must have been. It's so important to remember her as more than the victim of such brutality. Gloria was a young woman, probably with dreams and plans like anyone else. I hope her family and friends found some peace over the years, although the pain never really goes away. It’s a chilling reminder of the dangers so many faced during that time, and a call for us to keep advocating for the vulnerable in our communities. Rest in peace, Gloria.
