I'm really devastated reading about what these women went through, especially Kimberly Lyttle. It's so easy for society to overlook people like her, but her life mattered and it's important we remember that. I’ve been thinking a lot about the evidence that was key in finally catching Suff, particularly the fibers and pubic hairs. It's chilling to consider how something so small could be the linchpin in tying him to this heinous series of crimes. Imagine how many people might have fallen through the cracks if forensic science hadn’t been able to pull those threads together. It’s a reminder of how essential it is that we keep improving our forensic capabilities, not just for justice in cases like Kimberly's, but for all victims who haven’t had their voices heard. My heart goes out to her friends and family who lost her in such a brutal and senseless way.
