I've been thinking a lot about how Kathleen's best friend Carol must have felt walking into that scene in 1982. I can’t even imagine the shock and trauma it would cause to find someone you care about like that, especially when you were supposed to be heading off on a vacation together. It's tragic enough to lose someone close to you, but under those circumstances? Just unimaginable. I find it so eerie that Kathleen had Stephani’s number in her address book. It makes me wonder what kind of relationship, if any, they truly had. Did she know he was dangerous? Were they friends, or was it just some casual acquaintance that took a turn for the worse? It raises so many questions that might never be fully answered. And Stephani—what a terrifying individual. It’s bizarre to me how he was able to commit this murder without making one of his infamous phone calls. It makes me think, did he feel some sense of remorse, or was this time different for him for some reason? The whole thing just gives me chills. My thoughts are with Kathleen's friends and family, who must have been left in limbo all those years, waiting for answers that finally came, albeit painfully.
