Does anyone else find it so tragic that we may never truly know Maria Apodaca's story or the experiences that shaped her young life? She was just 18, and to think about the circumstances that led her to cross paths with someone as sinister as Morris Solomon Jr. is deeply unsettling. It's disheartening to realize that during the mid-1980s, societal stigmas often overshadowed the humanity of victims such as Maria, leading to a lack of focus on them as people with families and dreams.
Seeing her life cut short with no chance for change or future accomplishments is truly distressing. While the details about her being found wrapped in bedding hint at some of the horrors she faced, I hope we can all remember her as more than just a victim of circumstance. She was a daughter, a friend, and had her entire life ahead of her. My heart goes out to her family and anyone who knew and loved her. It’s essential we continue to shed light on these cases and push for justice for all victims, regardless of their life choices or circumstances.
Hey everyone,
I've been reading up on the tragic cases linked to Morris Solomon Jr., and Maria Apodaca's story really hit me. I came across an interesting detail about her case that I haven't seen discussed much: the use of bedding to wrap the victims. It seems like it was almost a signature move by Solomon, which is just chilling. This got me thinking about how someone can carry out such calculated acts repeatedly without raising suspicions earlier.
Maria was so young, just 18, and it breaks my heart to think about the life she could have had. It's awful that these young women were targeted during such a vulnerable time in their lives. The fact that the state of decomposition made it difficult to determine cause of death shows just how cruel and senseless her murder was, leaving investigators with more questions than answers at the time.
I find it really important that we continue discussing these details—not just for the sake of justice, but also to remember and honor Maria and the other victims. They deserve to be more than just names in the case file.
What do you all think about this aspect of the case, and why do you believe it didn't get as much attention as other serial cases back then?
Sending positive thoughts to Maria's loved ones.
Stay safe, everyone!
