Has anyone else been puzzled by the lack of public awareness surrounding Helen Patent's case and the Frankford Slasher in general? It seems like such a significant and terrifying chapter in Philadelphia's history, yet it's not widely discussed outside of true crime circles. For those of us deeply interested in the victims and their stories, it feels important to keep their memories alive, especially for the families still seeking answers. Helen was more than just a name; she lived, loved, and deserved justice and remembrance. It's heartbreaking that she and the other women were subject to such violence, and knowing that someone may have evaded justice is unsettling. If anyone has more information on how the community reacted at the time or any initiatives to honor these women since then, I'd be grateful if you could share.
