Has anyone else looked into the weather conditions on the day Jerri Lesser went missing? I read somewhere that Glenwood Springs had higher-than-average rainfall around late May in 1980. Could that have affected the river's flow and made their rafting trip more dangerous than expected? I feel like this could be an overlooked aspect of why things went so wrong that day. It's incredibly sad that Jerri’s friend was found, but not him. More insight into the weather might help us understand the risks they faced. Thoughts? Has anyone else found references to the weather that day?

I’ve been researching cold cases from Colorado and came across the disappearance of Jerri Lesser. It's haunting to think that someone so young could vanish without a trace despite numerous searches. What's particularly intriguing, though, is the fact that Jerri had a craniotomy at age seven. I wonder if his medical history impacted how everyone approached the situation? Was he able to swim well, and were there any underlying complications we don't know about? Given how many people raft that river every year, it’s deeply unsettling that they found his friend but not a single clue about Jerri. Has anyone else looked into how frequently incidents like this occur on that stretch of the Colorado River? It might not provide closure, but understanding the broader context might shine some light on what happened.
