I’ve been following the case of Stefanie Ellis and can’t stop thinking about the impact on her surviving family members, especially her other children. Losing a mom and sister in such a violent manner is unimaginable. The fact that Stefanie was such a caring and protective mother, trying to keep noise down for her sleeping kids, speaks volumes about her character. I hope her remaining children have found a strong support system and haven’t had to carry this trauma alone. They deserve all the love and care in the world. It's genuinely alarming that the shooter targeted people just living their daily lives in Maryvale. We need more conversations about how to protect underserved communities from such random acts of violence. Did anyone else notice the lack of follow-up support for families in these situations? It's a critical piece that's often overlooked.
