I’ve been following the tragic case of Jhalon Glass and the pawnshop incident from 2011. It’s yet another sad reminder of how quickly life can change in mere moments. One thing I’ve been mulling over is how these situations impact the workers involved. Imagine going to work expecting just another normal day and ending up in such a traumatic situation. It must be incredibly difficult for the employee who shot Jhalon. While self-defense might be justified, I can only imagine the emotional weight of taking someone's life, particularly a young person like Jhalon. No one walks away from that unscarred. My heart goes out to Jhalon's family and friends who are mourning his loss, but I also feel for the employee who'll have to live with this incident forever. I hope they both receive the support they need to heal.
