Has anyone else been thinking about the brutal impact these crimes must have had on the Southern Hills community back in 1989? The sheer horror of losing three members of one family in such a violent manner must have left a scar that took years to heal. I can't even begin to imagine the fear and uncertainty those residents felt knowing that the person responsible was still out there. Thinking about Sean's parents, Julie's friends, and everyone who knew Tom Grissom, they must have been crushed by the weight of this tragedy. Sustaining hope and patience through years of unanswered questions must have demanded incredible strength. It's no wonder that Danny Rolling's eventual confession, distressing as it was, offered some solace to those left behind. It’s a stark reminder of the ripple effects of such crimes, altering countless lives and communities beyond the immediate victims. My thoughts go out to everyone who endured that dark chapter.
