Has anyone looked into whether there were any unsolved crimes or similar cases around Chico in the days leading up to Charles Paxton Anderson’s disappearance? It seems like the kind of detail that could provide some context or lead. I know it was a different time, and record-keeping wasn't what it is today, but it’s possible something was missed or overlooked. Also, did Charles have any known enemies or incidents before he disappeared? The damage from the shotgun blast in the truck makes me think there was a serious conflict. That kind of escalation doesn’t usually come out of nowhere. If nothing else, maybe comparing notes with other cases could help find some common threads.

Was anyone else aware that the Ford truck Charles borrowed was reported to have shotgun damage in the cab? This detail has always puzzled me. If someone intended to harm Charles, why leave such an obvious clue behind? It seems almost too conspicuous, like someone wanted to make a statement or send a warning. Yet, if that’s the case, why has there been no follow-up or suspects in all these years? I know it’s been decades, and memories fade, but it feels like there should be more to this. It just doesn’t add up that such a significant clue led to no leads. Thoughts?
