Isn't it just so sad to think about Lori Anne Razpotnik's bright future that never got a chance to unfold? I can’t stop thinking about that last Thanksgiving phone call she made to her mom. Lori had said she was doing well in Seattle and even promised to send Christmas presents. I can't imagine how her family must have clung to that hope for any sign of her. It just goes to show how deeply runaways and their families can misunderstand each other during tough times. For decades, they didn’t know what happened to her, and it probably felt like a wound that wouldn’t heal. I hope her family finds some semblance of peace now, though I know there's never true solace in learning what happened. It’s haunting to know that she became another victim of Gary Ridgway. I wish we could have saved her and so many others from such a tragic fate.
