I was reading through some old newspaper articles about this case, and one thing that really struck me was the immense grief and strength displayed by Susan Reeve's family throughout the ordeal. It's incredible to think about how a family, after enduring such a profound loss, channeled their pain into something so positive by supporting education at Hollins University. In one article, Susan's mom spoke about how education was something Susan deeply valued and that she hoped the scholarship fund would help other young women achieve their dreams. I can’t imagine the pain they must have felt, but that dedication to honoring Susan's life is truly inspiring. Does anyone know if any recent scholars have made a significant impact thanks to the fund?
