Has anyone heard more details about the security situation at Royal Towers during the time Mia Smith was murdered? I've been trying to piece together how someone like Clifton Ray Jr., with such a notorious reputation, could move around so freely in that building. It's so unsettling to think that these incidents might have been preventable with better measures in place. Does anyone know if there were cameras in the stairway or if any tenants had ever complained about feeling unsafe there? It breaks my heart to think of Mia's family not having answers all these years. Given Ray's history, it's chilling to know he roamed around unchecked for so long. Thoughts and insights welcome.

Hey everyone, I was looking into the tragic case of Mia Smith, and one thing that keeps bugging me is the safety measures (or lack thereof) in the Royal Towers Apartments at the time of her murder. If Clifton Lee Ray Jr. was a known figure with such a violent past and was connected to multiple incidents in the building, why didn’t the management take stronger precautions to protect residents? I’m aware that hindsight is 20/20, but it seems like there might have been missed opportunities to enhance security. Was there an intercom or a guard at the entrance back then? Were there any reports or discussions between tenants and management about safety concerns before Mia’s death? It just feels like a devastating series of events that might have been prevented, and my heart goes out to Mia's family and all the others affected. Would love to know if anyone has more info on the apartment’s safety measures during that era or if it's brought up in any documents or discussions. Thanks!
