I can't stop thinking about the bravery and strength of the Otero family, especially little Josephine. This case has haunted so many of us, and it’s beyond tragic what they endured. It must have been so terrifying for Josephine and her family to be in that situation. I can only hope that they’ve found some kind of peace now, knowing that the monster responsible is finally behind bars. It’s hard not to think about how much she and her brother missed out on in life. They deserved so much better. I also think about the investigators who worked tirelessly on this case, not giving up even when it seemed impossible. It’s thanks to their perseverance that Rader was finally caught and is unable to hurt anyone else. My heart goes out to any family and friends who still remember and miss the Oteros. They’re not forgotten.
Did anyone else feel an eerie chill when they read about the library book letter? Knowing BTK hid such a detailed confession in a public place, accessible to anyone casually browsing the shelves, makes my skin crawl. Imagine being that person who unknowingly borrowed the book with such a dark secret tucked inside. It's unsettling to think of how meticulously he planned all these little games to taunt the police and media, all while maintaining such a seemingly normal exterior in his community. My thoughts are with the Otero family and everyone else affected by his horrific actions. It’s deeply unsettling how long it took to bring Rader to justice, but I’m relieved they finally did. Rader's need for control and manipulation was deeply rooted in his interactions with the investigators, and it's just baffling to comprehend his mindset. What a relief the advancements in forensic science finally caught up to him, ensuring he wouldn't evade justice any longer.
