Has anyone looked into whether there could have been someone else living nearby that knew Dorothy? I mean, the area around Greenwood Ridge Road is pretty remote, but sometimes people tend to know even the reclusive neighbors in rural settings. Could she have walked off to clear her mind and encountered someone? Not everyone would've been a stranger if they were familiar faces in the area. Maybe someone who came by occasionally, like mail carriers or others with some kind of routine business around? I know foul play was never established, but this angle might be worth considering in relation to who might have crossed paths with her that day.
