I've been following the tragic case of James Steven Knowles, and something that really stands out to me is how the justice system managed to link Mario Normore to his disappearance and murder without having found James' body. It must have been incredibly difficult for James' family, not only to cope with his disappearance but then to hear the terrible revelations connecting him to such a violent criminal like Normore. It's chilling to think that Normore was able to commit so many crimes after being released from prison. I wonder what safeguards could be put in place to prevent recently paroled individuals with violent histories from causing such devastation again. My heart really goes out to the families of all the victims. May they find some sense of peace and justice.
