Has anyone else been struck by the fact that Jeffrey Lee Comphel gave away all his stuff right before he disappeared? I can't stop thinking about how that's usually a pretty big red flag. Was he planning to start fresh somewhere, or could it have been a sign of something more concerning? I know he was last seen at a bus stop, which makes me think he might have been planning to travel, but then why just go off the grid completely? It just seems so out of character based on what I've read about him. I wonder if the time period played a role—like, without the tech we have today, maybe it was easier to just disappear back in 1983? Curious if anyone else has thoughts or theories.
Does anyone find it curious how Jeffrey seemed to give away all his belongings before vanishing? It's like he was preparing for something big, but the question is what? If he was planning to start fresh somewhere, why hasn't there been any contact for so many years? And why wouldn’t he give at least a hint to his family? I wonder if there's more to uncover about his life during those weeks leading up to his disappearance. Did anyone ever look into where he might have been planning to go right after he left the room he rented in Fremont? It's such a perplexing mystery that hasn't been solved after all this time.
Hey folks, I've been following Jeffrey Lee Comphel's case for a while, and something that's been troubling me is his decision to give away all his belongings right before he disappeared. Does anyone else think that's really odd? I mean, did he plan to just start fresh somewhere, or was there something else going on that we don't know about? People who knew him said it wasn't like him to just up and leave without a trace. I'm wondering if he might have told someone where he was headed when he was waiting at the bus stop. Maybe someone saw or heard something and didn't think it was significant at the time? It's been years now, but any little detail could help. Thoughts?
