I’ve been reading about Sheila Ann Whalen's case, and one detail really got to me: how Stephen Peter Morin managed to evade capture for so long using different aliases. It's chilling to think that this man was able to move around the country, committing such heinous acts, while evading the law for years. I can't imagine the fear and frustration felt by Sheila’s loved ones, knowing that someone out there knew something but couldn't put the pieces together fast enough to stop him. Has anyone else come across stories like this where the suspect manages to stay ahead of the authorities so easily? My heart goes out to Sheila's family and all those affected by his actions.
