I've been following the Rocky Mount cases closely and wanted to chime in about something that's been on my mind. One aspect that continues to bother me is the disparity in the urgency and resources allocated to these investigations. Jackie Thorpe's case, along with the others, suggests a concerning pattern of neglect. It's almost like the victims' struggles with addiction and the fact they were involved in prostitution led authorities to question their worthiness of justice. I can't help but feel that if the victims had been from more affluent backgrounds, the response would have been much different, potentially leading to swifter resolutions. My heart goes out to Jackie's loved ones, who have had to live all these years without answers. It’s so important for us to keep talking about these issues and demanding that every life is treated with equal importance in the eyes of the law. What are your thoughts on how the socioeconomic factors might have influenced the investigation?
