I've been closely following the tragic case of Zacchaeus Selby-Mukum, and my thoughts are with his family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. One aspect that caught my attention is the age of the suspect, Joshua Robinson, who is just 17. It's unsettling to see such young lives entangled in a situation like this. I can't help but wonder about the environment surrounding these teenagers. Zacchaeus had already survived trauma at Timberview High School, and now this. It leaves me questioning what kind of support systems are in place for young people who have gone through such traumatic experiences. Did Zacchaeus receive enough support to help him cope with what he had witnessed four years ago? It’s disheartening to think about the ripple effects that such violence can have on a community and how it might contribute to a cycle where young individuals feel the need to arm themselves or resort to risky situations. It’s important for us to focus not only on seeking justice for Zacchaeus but also on addressing the broader societal issues that lead to these tragic events.
