I've been closely following the Androples Lewis case and something that's been bothering me is the location where it all happened. I used to live in Vegas and know that stretch of Boulder Highway pretty well. Those weekly rental motels have always had a sketchy reputation, but it’s still shocking to think that a dice game dispute could end so tragically right there.
I just can't wrap my head around how a community can become so numb or indifferent to these kinds of incidents. Are there any locals here who could share if there's been any improvement in that area since 2015? Also, does anyone know if any community efforts or initiatives were put in place to help prevent situations like this from happening again? I think it’s important for us to understand the environment and context where these tragedies occur, not just for closure, but to hopefully prevent future loss. Sending my deepest sympathies to Lewis's family and friends; it’s truly difficult to comprehend the senselessness of it all.
