Does anyone have more information on the conditions at the Dangling Rope Marina back in the '80s, around the time James went missing? I’m curious if there were any safety measures in place, like railings or warning signs, that might indicate potential hazards. With James having epilepsy, it’s concerning that something might have triggered an episode. Maybe there were specific environmental factors at that spot that could’ve contributed? It's been almost four decades, and I can't help but wonder if there's something overlooked about the location itself. Any insight or similar cases in that area?

The whole thing about James Michael Kling's epilepsy really deserves more discussion. If he did have a seizure on the dock or near the water, it could explain a lot about how he might’ve fallen in and disappeared so quickly. That’s a crucial detail that needs more attention in my opinion. What I find puzzling though, is the lack of any physical evidence—no DNA, no belongings apart from the flip-flops. Usually, even in drowning cases, something will turn up eventually, right? The flip-flops being found in two different locations is also odd—could it signify something more, like the lake’s current patterns, or maybe even that more happened before he hit the water? It's tough to speculate, but I wonder if anyone familiar with the area around Glen Canyon might have any theories or insights based on those specific conditions. It's been so long, but maybe revisiting these small details could spark something new.

I've been reading about the James Michael Kling case and am really curious about the weather conditions on the day he disappeared. Does anyone know if there were reports of storms or unusual conditions at Lake Powell on July 8, 1984? I imagine that if the weather was rough, it could have impacted the search and rescue efforts. Also, it makes me wonder if the choppy water might have contributed to him being harder to find. Just thinking out loud. Would love to hear what others think or if anyone has more details on this aspect.
