I was really shaken to hear about Iona Pollard's tragic passing. As someone who works in a school district myself, I'm all too aware of how tightly-knit our communities can become. It's unfathomable to imagine the loss felt by her family, students, and colleagues at George Junior High School. I keep thinking about the kids—both hers and those she worked with—and how they’re processing all of this. The school district's decision to offer counseling was absolutely needed, but I can only imagine how deep this wound runs. Sending strength and prayers to everyone impacted. It's times like these that remind us of the importance of being there for one another. ?

Has anyone else been struck by the eerie silence from the neighbors following Iona Pollard's tragic death? I've been glued to the updates and noticed that while her colleagues have shared memories from George Junior High, the neighborhood seems unusually quiet about it all. I can’t blame them; such an event must be incredibly disturbing for those who lived close to the family. But I just find it odd that a community so close-knit, one that shared meals and life moments, isn’t coming forward with more personal recollections or support. Maybe it's the shock or respect for privacy, but it speaks volumes about the emotional turmoil everyone's going through. My heart goes out to all of them, especially the children who now have to navigate life in a changed world. I hope the local support services are giving the kids and the whole community the help they desperately need.
