Has anyone looked into the possibility that Donald might have crossed paths with someone familiar, maybe even from the party or club, after he left the Moose Club? I’ve seen instances in other cases where someone unexpectedly encounters an acquaintance, and things take a strange turn. It feels odd that his vehicle was found locked but with no trace of his whereabouts. That kind of setup makes me wonder if he might have intended to meet someone out there or got flagged down by someone he knew. The fact that there were no signs of foul play doesn’t necessarily rule out something happening that wasn't planned. Maybe there’s someone in the community or attending the same party that knows really what happened but hasn't spoken up yet? Curious to hear if anyone else has thought about this angle or if it has been discussed in the past.

Hey everyone, Has anyone else heard much about the mysterious cold case of Donald Bernard Kulas? Something that caught my attention is the location where his car was found. It was locked and abandoned along Lake County Road 2, 13 miles from his home. This stuff always intrigues me because, interestingly, it was reported he had no reason or apparent intention to go to that spot. The area is quite remote, too, as I understand it. What could have brought him there? Also, the timing is curious. He left the Moose Club quite late and was probably heading home, so I'm puzzled about what might have caused him to stop or detour so far off his route. Was it a place he often visited, or was it known for anything significant? I wonder if anyone familiar with that region has thoughts on this? The unexplained choice of location just makes the case even more baffling. Would love to hear any theories or insights from those who've looked into this, or know the area! - CuriousCat29

Did anyone else find it unusual that Donald Kulas' Chevy Blazer was found locked on Lake County Road 2? To me, that seems odd if he left the vehicle voluntarily and intended to go anywhere on foot. Most people I know don’t bother locking their car in such remote areas, especially back in the '80s. Was it common practice for folks around Two Harbors to lock their vehicles even if they weren't in populated areas? Or could this be a clue that someone else was involved? I know there weren’t signs of foul play, but maybe it points to more of a “planned” meeting with someone? Just throwing thoughts out there since this part always stuck with me! Anyone have local insight or new theories?
