Reading about Kharrelle's tragic death really hit me hard, especially knowing it was tied to the sale of a firearm between two young lives. Gun sales between teens? What a devastating reminder of how easily accessible firearms seem to be, and how quickly these interactions can lead to irreversible tragedy. It's deeply concerning that teens are involved in such dangerous exchanges. While the suspect is in custody, there’s a bigger issue at hand here about youth and gun culture. How do we address this and create environments where young people don't feel the need to arm themselves? It's not just about focusing on punishment but also on prevention. I feel for Allen’s family and hope the community can come together, not just to find justice, but to initiate talks about these issues and support efforts toward preventing them in the future. Losing a child is unimaginable, and my heart goes out to his loved ones who are enduring such a painful loss.
