I've been following the tragic Sibley case, and my heart truly goes out to R’mani and Ronnie's family. I can't imagine the pain they're going through right now. I've been thinking a lot about the choice of pink at the funeral—it says a lot about how much R’mani was loved and cherished. It breaks my heart that a child's favorite color had to become such a poignant symbol of her life cut short. I also wonder what was going on with Ronnie’s music career. It seems the investigators are looking into it, but I can't help but think of all the times we've seen someone's public life hide so many layers of complexity. There's a narrative here that we may never fully understand, and it just adds to the tragedy of losing two beautiful souls in such a violent way. If anything, I hope this case serves as a reminder of how much work we still need to do as a society to make our communities safer for everyone. Sending all my love and prayers to those affected by this terrible event.
