Does anyone else find it chilling how close to home this case is hitting? Lamar was just a regular guy, yet his life ended in such a tragic and senseless way. I’ve been reading up on the investigation, and it’s both shocking and a relief that they caught the suspect so quickly. From what I gather, Dillard’s arrest came not long after the incident, which must be a small consolation for Lamar’s family amidst their unthinkable loss. My heart truly goes out to Lamar's children and grandchild. I can't imagine the immense pain they're experiencing. I especially think about his grandmother, Ola Burke. It must be devastating for her to lose a grandchild like this. I commend the Roanoke PD for working swiftly to make an arrest. Hopefully, the upcoming legal proceedings can unfold smoothly, bringing some justice for Lamar and peace for those who loved him. Would love to hear others' thoughts on how the community can support the family during such a difficult time.
