Has anyone looked into any connections between Darold Stryffeler's disappearance and any possible hiking trails around Gaston where he might have gone? It’s said he was known for his adventurous spirit. I’m thinking, given what we know about his active lifestyle, maybe there's a chance he ventured into a less-traveled area to explore. I haven’t seen much discussion around that angle and wonder if anyone local to Gaston might have insights on nearby trails that weren’t thoroughly searched back in 1986. It can be easy to overlook certain paths or trailheads, especially without knowing where to start. Any thoughts or fresh leads from the hiking community might be beneficial in keeping Darold’s case from growing cold.
Hey everyone, I've been diving into Darold Stryffeler's case, and something that puzzles me is the role of his friends on the day he disappeared. Does anyone have more insight into the activities they were involved in around Gaston? From what I gather, Darold was well-loved and surrounded by people who cared about him, so how did things go so quiet after that day? It boggles my mind that someone could vanish with no trace, especially in an area where he apparently felt at home. The lack of follow-up leads from his circle of friends is intriguing to me. Anyone else think this might be a key angle that hasn’t been fully explored?
