I’ve been following the case of Astrid Nicole Gonzalez Feliciano, and one particular detail keeps haunting me: the resilience of those little kids. It’s unimaginable what they went through, especially the four-year-old who was found clutching bullet casings. It's so troubling to think of such young children exposed to such horror and potential danger. What’s especially concerning is how long she was left there without help. Nearly 20 hours before authorities arrived—it just makes me question how something like this could happen. It's a stark reminder of how important it is for communities to have each other's backs and for neighbors to act when they notice something unusual. I hope those kids receive the support and care they need to heal from such trauma. These children are going to need an immense amount of love and support in the coming years. My heart goes out to them, and I truly hope the community continues to rally around them in such a difficult time.
