I just can't wrap my head around what happened to Steven Wayne Spurlin. By all accounts, he seemed like such a kind soul who had his life senselessly taken away. I read that he was so dedicated to his daughter, and it breaks my heart thinking about her losing her father so suddenly. I really hope the case gets the attention it deserves, and those responsible are brought to justice. Lighting candles and coming together as a community seems like a beautiful way to honor him, but I can't help but feel that more needs to be done. Was anyone else struck by how much his friends and family loved him? It's clear he made a real impact and has left a big void in their lives. Thoughts and prayers go out to them.
