I just can't shake this feeling of frustration over the lack of progress in Christian's case. I mean, we're talking about a bright, young man who had his whole life ahead of him. I'm really hoping that someone will come forward with information soon. It's painful to see his family suffering without any leads or answers. Knowing he was sitting outside his own home makes it even more infuriating. The Third Ward might be used to challenges, but it's still a tight-knit community, and it's hard to see them go through this alone.
At his funeral, the love and support were palpable. You could just feel how much he meant to everyone there. It was a beautiful service, but it only underscored the senselessness of it all. I keep reading about communities grappling with gun violence, and Christian’s case feels like another call to action that we all need to heed.
