Hey everyone,
I can't stop thinking about how devoted Shamari was to his studies and his family. From what I've read, he was juggling university workload with long hours at Walmart — that takes some serious dedication and resilience, especially for someone who’s battled leukemia. His ambition in pursuing construction management shows how committed he was to building a better future for himself and, no doubt, for his family too.
I'm truly moved by his mother’s story. Shamari's act of sending her money for a basketball game ticket just hours before his life was senselessly taken speaks volumes about his character. It's clear he took joy in the simple things and loved sharing those moments with the people he cared about.
If anyone finds themselves in Washington, please keep a lookout for any useful information and consider contributing to the GoFundMe if you're able. Every bit of support helps his family deal with this unimaginable loss. Keeping Shamari’s loved ones in my thoughts.
Stay kind and vigilant, everyone.
