I've been thinking a lot about the time and place of Garrett's murder. It's so unsettling to know this happened in broad daylight in the middle of a neighborhood like Stanton Street. It just goes to show how brazen the perpetrator must have been. This community is on edge; I can feel it every time I talk to neighbors or see folks around town. Everyone is looking over their shoulder, wondering if it's someone they know or if there was something we missed. I hope that anyone who saw or heard something will find the courage to step forward. Garrett's family deserves answers and justice, and our community needs to feel safe again. My heart goes out to his loved ones during this unimaginably difficult time.
Has anyone else been following the tragic case of Garrett Michael Elliott from Fayetteville? I've been thinking a lot about the location of the incident. Stanton Street isn't typically known for violence, right? It's just baffling to think that something like this could happen in broad daylight in a seemingly quiet area.
