I've been following the case of Allen Scott, and I can't help but think about how his tragic death has impacted the local music community in Cincinnati. As a fellow musician, I feel such a profound sense of loss. Allen wasn't just another performer; he was a fixture in the scene, a guy whose riffs could make you feel alive and whose kindness left a lasting impression on everyone he met. It must be incredibly difficult for his bandmates in Opium Doom Cult to process what happened. I imagine they're grieving not just a bandmate, but a brother. It's hard to fathom that someone who brought people together through music could be taken from us like this. Allen's influence went beyond the stage, as anyone who's shared a beer with him after a show could tell you. My thoughts are with his family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him, both personally and through his powerful music. Let's hope justice is served, and we can celebrate his life through the art and memories he left behind.
