I've been thinking a lot about the friendships Izreal "Bunz" Bishop must have had at Hughes STEM High School. From everything I've read, it sounds like he was truly a special kid, wise beyond his years, with that "old soul" quality. I can't even begin to imagine how his friends and classmates are coping with losing someone like him so suddenly. It's not just the loss of a friend; it's the loss of a confidant, a leader, someone who genuinely wanted to make the world around him a better place. I hope the school is providing support and counseling for those who need it. If anyone is attending Hughes and is willing to share how the community there is handling this tragedy, I’d love to hear from you. Keeping Izreal’s spirit alive by trying to embody the kindness and peace he stood for is perhaps one small way to honor his memory. We're all hoping for answers soon. ?
