I've been thinking a lot about the role of the community in tragedies like Jayden Reid’s. It's so vital that we come together not only to support the victim’s family but also to address the underlying issues that can lead to such senseless violence. I heard there’s going to be a community meeting soon at the Rock Hill Library to discuss ways to prevent youth violence and hopefully create a safer environment for these kids. Maybe Jayden's love for entrepreneurship can inspire us to set up mentorship programs for young people in Rock Hill, focusing on giving them positive outlets for their energy and aspirations. It's a small step, but I think it's crucial that everyone plays a part in ensuring this doesn’t happen again. Sending all my love to Jayden’s family and friends during this unimaginably difficult time.
