I just stumbled upon this case and it's really been on my mind. It's so tough to think about how unexpected and violent this act must have been. From what I gather, Allen McKenzie was involved in an incident at the Laurel Hill Food Mart before he was found on Pate Street. I'm so curious about what might have happened at that store. Was there a confrontation or disagreement that escalated? The fact that David Chavis was arrested and charged with first-degree murder is significant, but I can't help but wonder what occurred between the two of them that led to this senseless tragedy. My heart goes out to McKenzie's family and friends. They must be grappling with so many emotions right now, from grief to confusion. It's good to see law enforcement taking this seriously and digging into what really happened that night. I hope they uncover the truth soon, not just for Allen's loved ones, but for the entire community that's feeling the impact of this loss. Anyone knows if there have been any updates or if the police have released more about the timeline of events?
