Does anyone else find it intriguing how Garry's family used personal ads in *The San Francisco Examiner* to try and reach out to him? It makes you wonder if Garry ever saw those messages and, if so, what he thought of them. It's such a unique way to keep that line of communication open, especially back in the early '90s when technology wasn't what it is now. The fact that they kept this up until 1995 shows the determination and hope they had. I can't imagine how tough it must have been for the family back then without today's instant communication tools. It also speaks volumes about the bond and love they had for Garry despite the limited contact over the years. Has anyone here come across similar cases where personal ads were used? It seems both so personal and public at the same time.

Has anyone else dug into the personal ads Garry’s parents put in *The San Francisco Examiner*? I came across some mentions of them while researching cold cases. It's both fascinating and eerie to think how desperately his family tried to reach out to him through these ads. It makes me wonder if there's more to the story between the lines, and what Garry was going through that caused him to drift away. I haven’t found actual copies of the ads yet—just references. If anyone has info on those or where they might be accessed, it could give more context or maybe reveal something new in his case.
