It's difficult to grasp how something like this could happen, and my heart goes out to Kho'Mori's friends and family. I can only imagine the shock and grief they're going through right now. This tragedy highlights a critical issue: the lack of awareness about firearm safety. There needs to be more education on the importance of securing guns, especially in homes with children. The fact that the police are responding by offering gun locks is a step in the right direction, but it also feels like a wake-up call for everyone. We need to think about our responsibilities as adults to ensure weapons are secure and kids know the gravity of handling them. I hope this prompts more conversations in communities about how to keep our children safe. It's devastating to think that Kho'Mori's potential was taken away by something preventable, and it really makes me want to advocate for stronger preventive measures to stop this from happening ever again.
