I’ve been following the story about Luis Delgado and Francisco Benavides, and it’s been really weighing on my mind. While there are so many unknowns, I'm curious about the area where this tragedy happened. North Camden has had its ups and downs, but a community can only do so much without support. It makes me wonder what community programs might be available, or perhaps lacking, around these blocks that could offer opportunities to steer youth away from violence. Without support systems and positive outlets, it's all too easy for vulnerable young people to find themselves in dangerous situations. My heart goes out to their families as they look for answers and wait for justice to be served. I hope this tragedy prompts some positive change in the neighborhood. If anyone’s local to Camden, I’d love to hear your thoughts on this.
