I just stumbled across a recent tragic case involving Jerry Johnson, and my heart goes out to his family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. I can't imagine the pain they're enduring. It's alarming to see another life lost in our community due to gun violence. I’m particularly troubled by the fact that no suspects have been identified yet. It's crucial that anyone who might have seen or heard something, no matter how small, comes forward. Even the tiniest detail could be significant to the investigation. To those in the Greater Ville area and beyond, if you were near the 3000 block of North Newstead Avenue around the time of the incident, please think hard about anything you might have observed. Sometimes, what seems trivial can actually be a vital piece of the puzzle. Let’s come together and help bring some sense of justice and peace to Mr. Johnson’s family. #JusticeForJerry #EndGunViolence

I can't stop thinking about how gun violence is impacting neighborhoods like Greater Ville. Jerry Johnson's death is another painful reminder of the struggles that communities face every day. He was shot so close to his home, and it just raises so many questions about safety and awareness in areas we consider familiar and safe. It’s frightening to think about the uncertainty every family feels when something like this happens. It feels so unsettling knowing that there are no suspects yet. There’s often this hope that someone, somewhere, saw or heard something. If anyone reading this has any bit of info—even if it seems minor—please consider reaching out to the authorities. I keep thinking of Mr. Johnson’s family and friends who are seeking answers and hoping for justice. My thoughts are with them during this incredibly difficult time.
