I came across Norman Thurber's missing person's case recently—crazy to think it's been 30 years with no answers. One thing that's been bugging me is the location he disappeared from. San Felipe is such a popular spot for tourists and expats. You'd think with so many people in and out, someone might have seen something that day. I've read about cases where seemingly insignificant details or sightings from the past have eventually led to major breakthroughs. Maybe if more folks who were around back then keep sharing and discussing what they remember about the area, it could trigger a memory for someone who saw something unusual. Thoughts?

I came across Norman Thurber's case while browsing through older missing persons cases, and I can't help but wonder about the efforts on the ground back in San Felipe around the time he vanished. Given the region and the early '90s timeframe, how much coordination was there between local and international authorities? Was it common at the time for cases like this to receive cross-border collaboration, or could that have been a factor in why leads dried up so quickly? Would love to hear from anyone familiar with law enforcement practices during that era or who might know more about how such cases were typically handled.

I recently stumbled upon Norman Thurber's case and found it intriguing that his disappearance is still active on NamUs after so many years. It's peculiar how some cases linger for decades without any major breakthroughs, isn't it? I noticed there's very little information out there about his life before he went missing, which makes me wonder about the circumstances leading up to his disappearance. Does anyone know if there were any unusual events or changes in his life before that fateful day in San Felipe? It seems like even a small detail might help reignite the search for answers.
