I’ve always been intrigued by the Gary Lee Rogers case. One aspect that puzzles me is why he left everything behind, including his wallet and truck keys. I mean, if someone plans to disappear intentionally, wouldn’t they typically take at least some personal items or cash? It just seems really odd to me, especially considering his transient lifestyle. I wonder if there's a possibility he met someone at the truck stop who convinced him to go somewhere, thinking he wouldn’t be away long, which is why he didn’t grab his stuff. Has anyone ever dug into whether he had any acquaintances or friends in that area who could have seen or spoken to him around that time? Just throwing some ideas out there.

Has anyone else looked into the strange circumstances around Gary Rogers' disappearance from the Hansen Truck Stop? It just puzzles me how he could vanish so quickly without any of his things, not even his wallet or the truck keys. What really gets me is that he was known to camp along river bars, so it seems like he was familiar with the area. Did anyone ever check if there were any sightings of him around the Fortuna and Ferndale spots where he used to stay? I know it's been years, but sometimes knowing the places he was comfortable with might give clues about where he headed. Also, has there been any news on whether his tattoos were ever spotted somewhere? Those were pretty distinct marks, like the Viking woman on his forearm. I just hope there are still people looking into this and hoping for answers soon. What do you all think?

I found something odd about Gary's disappearance. It's been bugging me that his truck keys vanished with him while everything else, including his wallet, was left behind. Usually, if someone leaves on their own without planning to be gone long, they'd take at least their wallet or keys, right? It's like he intended to return in a minute, but then something unexpected happened. I've read about similar cases where someone claims to just step out for a smoke or a quick errand, and then, poof, they've vanished. I wonder if anyone near the Hansen Truck Stop that day noticed anything unusual or if Gary mentioned his plans to anyone prior to that stop. Could there have been someone he was meeting there or a sudden change of plans we’re unaware of? Curious what other people think, especially those familiar with the Fortuna and Ferndale areas.
