I can't stop thinking about the little one, Heidi. From what I've gathered, she was such a vibrant soul, lighting up the lives of her classmates and teachers at Edgerton Elementary. I can’t imagine what her friends and teachers must be going through right now. My heart really goes out to them. It seems like her kindness and thoughtfulness were felt by everyone around her. It’s comforting to know that the school district has stepped up with a crisis response team to help everyone process this incredibly heavy loss. It must be an incredibly hard time for everyone who knew her, and I hope they can find some peace in each other's support. If anyone is local and has ideas about how we can support the school or if they're planning on organizing something for Heidi’s classmates, please reach out. It seems important that we let the kids know just how loved Heidi was, even by people she never met.
