I was digging into Roberta Tirona Girard's case and something keeps bothering me—her unused passport. She was planning to visit her family in the Philippines and not touching her passport feels significant. If she had planned to leave voluntarily or was taken against her will, wouldn't that passport be a critical piece to bring along? It seems like whatever halted her plans happened quite abruptly after she got off that bus. Could someone local to Reno back then have more insight into whether there was any particular suspicion around that area in '93? What was the atmosphere like near Brinkby and Lakeside Drive? It's unsettling how someone could just vanish without a trace like that.
Hey everyone,
I've been following Roberta Girard's case for a while, and something that really stands out to me is the timing of her disappearance. She was so close to finally visiting her family in the Philippines after five long years. It makes me wonder if someone familiar with her plans might have had a motive? Like, did anyone at her workplace know about her trip and anything significant she'd be doing beforehand? I think it's worth considering whether her upcoming journey might have played a part. It's just so strange that she vanished right before something so important. Hoping someday we get answers for her family.
Has anyone else dug into Roberta Tirona Girard's connection with her coworkers at the retirement home? I keep thinking about her everyday routine and how she alway seemed reliable, showing up to work on that same bus daily. It just seems odd that not much focus has been put on the workplace— it could be worth knowing more about her relationships there. Did any coworkers mention anything odd or unusual? Sometimes those closest to the routine can clue in to what went wrong. Perhaps it might be time to re-examine those connections. Thoughts?
